TRAINING CENTRES

Our training courses are available at various locations nationwide, and we also offer the option of onsite training (additional charges may apply). For more details regarding onsite training, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

ENROLLING IN COURSES

For most of our courses, students have the option to enroll online. Before enrolling, we kindly request that you ensure you meet the specified entry requirements. Proof of relevant qualifications and any necessary prerequisites will be required prior to accessing the course learning materials.

MINIMUM AGE FOR ENROLLMENT

Kindly be aware that the minimum age requirement for enrolling in most of our courses at EMZ Studio is 18 years. However, we do offer a limited selection of courses with an enrolment age of 16. For further information regarding these specific courses, please feel free to contact us via email at info@emzstudio.com.

ACCESSING COURSE THEORY

For the majority of our courses, the theory component is accessible through our online learning platform. This platform enables students to access a wide range of resources, including presentations, audio, videos, workbooks, and assignments, at their own convenience. Upon receipt of payment, you will be granted access to the online portal. Instructions for accessing the platform will be sent to you via email or made available directly within the portal.

For some of the courses, you might not receive the resources through online portal but instead they will be sent to you in either of the following formats:
1- Email
2- Physically delivered at your address
3- Handed over at the time of training

To make the most of your learning experience, we kindly request that you complete all relevant theory materials before attending the practical sessions or designated attendance days. This will ensure that you are well-prepared and ready to engage with the practical aspects of the course.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

As part of the course, students will receive the schedule for attendance days, which encompass theory, practical, practice, and assessment sessions. It is essential that students attend all arranged dates. In cases where students miss their theory, practical, or practice sessions, or do not pass their written or practical assessments, additional dates will be organized. These additional dates will be scheduled with the next cohort of students, subject to availability.

Due to the nature of the course, we are unable to provide a precise number of attendance days. However, we ensure that students who attend as agreed and have adequately prepared for their practical or written assessments will not incur any additional charges. However, in situations where additional assessment days need to be arranged due to inadequate preparation, a fee of £75 will be applied to cover the associated costs.

To report absences, students must directly notify their assigned tutor rather than relying on fellow students. If a student is unable to contact their tutor directly, they should notify the education team via phone at 078 8861 9666. It is crucial to communicate absences by phone call, as notifications through SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging services will not be considered valid.

We understand that tutor contact numbers may not always be provided. In such cases, students must notify student services by calling 078 8861 9666.

BEAUTY & AESTHETIC COURSES

Course Payments

To secure your place on any of our courses, it is essential that all payments are cleared no later than 7 days before the course date. Please note that in the event of non-attendance after booking, all payments made are non-refundable to compensate for the loss of earnings. As a student, it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the necessary prerequisites for the course and have sought independent advice regarding changes in regulations and appropriate insurance coverage before enrolling. Please be aware that when administering anti-wrinkle injection treatments or using emergency kits for Dermal Fillers, access to a prescriber is required. Although we have connections with prescribers, we cannot guarantee a long-term working relationship with them.

Models for Courses

For most courses, EMZ Studio will provide models unless otherwise specified at the time of booking. This ensures that you have the necessary opportunities to practice and demonstrate your skills during the training.

Online Courses

We offer a wide range of online courses to cater to different learning needs. When enrolling in our online courses, it is your responsibility to seek advice regarding insurance coverage and ensure that you meet the necessary prerequisites. Please note that we cannot accept any liability for students who are unable to obtain insurance following the completion of the course. Some courses can be completed entirely online, and upon successful completion, the certificates will be issued online as well.

Advanced Conversion Courses

For advanced conversion courses, assessments can be conducted online via Skype or Zoom. However, prior to this, you must provide proof of previous qualifications relevant to the treatment being covered.

Certificate Issuance

Certificates will only be issued once all assessment criteria have been successfully completed.

CONTACTING TUTORS/TRAINING CENTERS

Students can contact EMZ Studio at any time via email. We aim to respond to your inquiries within 5 days. Please note that last-minute emails, regardless of their content related to assessments or classes, are not guaranteed a response. After sending your query, kindly wait for 5 days to receive a reply (please allow 7 days for marking assignments). There is no need to follow up with SMS, WhatsApp, or any other messaging service, as all emails will be handled in the order they were received. For assignment queries, students can contact their assigned tutor via email from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Please note that queries sent through SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging services may not receive a response, and email is the preferred form of contact.

TUTORIALS

If you require tutorials as part of your course support, you can book face-to-face tutorials with your tutors. Please ensure that you request tutorials in advance via email, and make the necessary arrangements based on your assessment plan.

ASSESSMENTS

Written Assignments

All written assignments and workbooks must be completed electronically on a laptop or desktop and submitted to courses@emzstudio.com. Alternatively, you can upload them directly on the portal as per the agreed assessment plan. It is your responsibility to follow the guidelines provided by EMZ Studio for assignment submissions, including the proper layout of written work to facilitate the marking process. Assignments can be written in a word document and attached to an email or listed in the body of the email. Amendments should be clearly marked in bold, and tutor comments must not be deleted. Please ensure that you adhere to the email instructions provided upon enrollment regarding assignment requirements. The assessment plan will outline the deadlines for assignment submissions, and assignments not completed according to the plan will not be prioritized for marking. If assignments are missing during an internal or external quality assurance visit, the portfolio will not be reviewed during that visit and will be presented at the next quality assurance visit, which typically takes place within 6-12 months. Tutors are not obligated to mark assignments outside the priority order specified in the assessment plan.

CONTRACT

Upon registration for a course, you enter into a contract with EMZ Studio, agreeing to adhere to the assessment plan, including practical and written assessments, and responding to all emails from EMZ Studio within 2 weeks of receipt. It is necessary to maintain regular contact with your tutors and promptly respond to all emails. Failure to respond within two weeks of receiving a second follow-up email will result in a notice of removal from the course and awarding body being served via email. Re-enrollment on the course will require payment of the full course registration fee and an additional admin fee of up to £250.

EXTENSIONS OF COURSE COMPLETION

For single-unit courses, completion must occur within 6 months from the date of enrollment. If an extension of the completion date is needed, an additional fee of £150 is required to extend it by 4 weeks. Full qualifications must be completed within 12 months from the date of enrollment, following the assessment plan. An additional fee of £250 is required to extend the completion date by 4 weeks after this period.

MODELS

EMZ Studio will arrange models for training and assessment purposes, unless otherwise agreed upon during enrollment. In some courses, students may be required to perform treatments on each other, so please be prepared to both perform and receive treatments. You will be notified in advance if you are required to model for your chosen subject.

CANCELLATION AND CHANGES TO COURSES

SPECIAL OFFERS AND DISCOUNT CODES

Special Offers

To qualify for reduced or discounted prices on our courses, the offer must be active at the time of booking. Once the invoice has been sent, no claim can be made by the student for discounts applied to scheduled courses as part of promotions. Late payments of the booking fee or course fee may result in the expiration of special offers, leading to a price increase. Please note that only one offer or discount can be claimed at a time. If a course is canceled by the student, the discount will no longer apply. However, in exceptional circumstances, EMZ Studio may consider applying the discount on one occasion when rearranging course dates as a gesture of goodwill.

Discount Codes

Discount codes may be launched via social media, so it’s advisable to follow us to ensure you receive the latest offers. If a discount code is applicable but was not entered upon enrollment, the full course fee will apply, and no refund will be provided for the difference.

STARTER KITS

Please note that starter kits are not included with discounted courses or courses on special offer. However, for certain courses, we will provide links to the equipment and resources used during training.

It is the responsibility of the students to ensure that the equipment and resources meet their salon/clinic needs. They should also conduct their due diligence to ensure that the products are fit for purpose, safe for use, and have the appropriate safety clearance.

POST COURSE SUPPORT

Upon completion of the course, we might send an email containing various documents, such as consultation forms and aftercare information, in either Word or PDF format. Students must adapt these forms to suit their own salon/clinic and insurance requirements.

COURSE MATERIALS AND CERTIFICATES

Accredited Courses

The course fees for our accredited courses include the cost of the manual and certificate, unless stated otherwise. However, please note that an administration fee of £10 will be charged for reprinting certificates due to spelling errors (provided by the student) or for replacement certificates.

Regulated Courses

After the completion of the qualification, our center’s internal quality assurance checks will take place, which can take 4-6 weeks. We will then make a claim for the certificate. The awarding body may conduct a center visit (as part of their quality assurance process) or request evidence for external quality assurance, which may cause further delay in the certificate processing. Once the claim is made, it typically takes the awarding body approximately 4-6 weeks to send out the certificates.

Once we receive the certificates, we will notify students that their certificates have arrived. Students are expected to collect their certificates in person within 28 days of receiving the notification. If necessary, arrangements can be made for postage of hardback certificates (delivery fee might be charged).

Students are encouraged to make use of the course manual and to conduct additional research by reading relevant journals, articles, and textbooks associated with the subject area.

COURSE TIMINGS AND DATES

The course description provides an approximate number of training days and hours for each course. Please be aware that courses are generally not canceled unless there are exceptional circumstances. We make every effort to stick to the training schedule, even if it means providing 1-2-1 training. The specific timings and days of the course depend on the number of enrolled students and the content covered. While it is possible that the course may finish earlier or later than anticipated, our aim is to ensure that all course content is adequately covered.

COURSE JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

Upon enrolment, course joining instructions will be sent to you via email or provided on the course portal, depending on the specific course. These instructions contain important information that is relevant to the course. It is crucial that you read these instructions carefully. They will include details about what you need to bring on the day of training, the dress code, and approximate timings for the day. Please note that the finish times may vary, as they depend on the number of students enrolled in the course.

SPECIAL OFFERS AND DISCOUNT CODES

Special Offers:

Once the appointment is confirmed and the booking fee or payment has been made, no claims can be made by the client for retroactive application of any discounts or special offers.

Late payments of the booking fee or process fee may result in the full price being charged if the special offer has expired. Please note that only one offer or discount can be claimed per appointment.

If the client cancels the appointment, any applicable discount or special offer will no longer apply. However, in exceptional circumstances, EMZ Studio may consider applying the discount on one occasion when rescheduling the appointment as a gesture of goodwill.

Discount Codes:

Discount codes for our beauty or aesthetic procedures may be released through our social media channels. We encourage you to follow us on social media to stay informed about the latest offers. It is important to enter the discount code during the booking or payment process. If a discount code is not applied at the time of booking, the full procedure fee will apply, and no refund will be given for the difference.

For our beauty or aesthetic appointments, we provide an estimated duration for each session, which is outlined in the procedure description or appointment booking.

We understand the importance of adhering to scheduled appointments and strive to maintain the training schedule as planned. However, in rare circumstances, such as unforeseen events or unavoidable situations, we may need to make adjustments to the timings or days of the process session. Rest assured that we will make every effort to accommodate and deliver the full content of the procedure within a reasonable timeframe.

Please note that in certain cases, the session may conclude earlier or later than initially anticipated. Our priority is to ensure that all essential aspects of the process are covered and that you receive the highest quality service.
